Red Bull x Sandbox: Vending on a Festival Wristband
Three days in El Gouna, with machines across the site selling on the festival wristband and giving away Red Bull in exchange for guest data.

Two Different Problems
Sandbox runs entirely on a cashless wristband. We worked with both sides of the event. The organiser needed refreshments available across the whole site over three days in El Gouna heat. Red Bull needed a presence that did more than hand out cans.
The Refreshment Machines
Refrigerated machines at several points across the venue, integrated with the festival wristband. Tap, pick, walk away. Payment came off the guest's festival balance, so nobody needed cash or a card, and nobody had to cross the site for a cold drink.
The Red Bull Giveaway Machines
These took information instead of payment. A guest entered their details on the screen and got one free Red Bull, one per person per day, tracked across all the units. A few seconds, a clear trade, and a real database of attendees at the end of it.
The Machine Is the Campaign
Wristband payment suited Sandbox. Another campaign might need a QR code, a promo code, a minigame, or a quiz before the product drops. We build the payment method and the screen experience around the campaign.
